What is the working title of your book? Well. . . my current WIP is a 17k piece for a certain contest that I’m not really announcing yet. So, not a book, and at the moment, untitled.
Where did the idea come from for the book? My subconscious, whence all my ideas spring from. Suddenly, a character appeared, insisted I begin to write his story, and who am I to argue?
What genre does your book fall under? Fantasy.
What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book? I’ll have to pass on this one. I’m only a few thousand words into it and it’s still developing.
Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition? Same answer as above. So far there are only two characters and they haven’t been cast yet.
Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency? It will be submitted to a prestigious contest with hopefully good results. If shot down, it will be shopped around via traditional routes.
How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript? So far, I’ve only been working on it for a couple days.
What other books would you compare this story to within your genre? Pass. I hate trying to compare things I’ve written to things that are out there. Since this one is so new, I just can’t.
What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest? It’s a somewhat lighthearted tale with a smattering of dry humor, in which the main character must come to terms with the fact that there are some things you just can’t put a price on. No matter who you are.
And now, for my nominations, in no particular order:
